Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. As an integral part of our dental practice, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and foster a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages. Your role will involve utilizing advanced dental technology and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry while making a meaningful difference in patients’ oral health journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as restorations, Implants, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly following aseptic techniques.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Manage patient records using Eaglesoft, Dental Intelligence, and Pearl Second Opinion ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding.
  • Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to promote safety and well-being.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and answer questions about procedures or treatment options.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation efficiently.
  • Maintain infection control standards by following strict protocols for sterilization, aseptic technique, and handling of contaminated materials.
  • Assist with general clinic operations including inventory management of dental supplies and equipment maintenance.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
  • Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dental Intelligence is preferred.
  • Competency in taking X-rays, including digital X-ray technology and 3D scanning devices.
  • Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, along with experience supporting children’s dental needs.
  • Understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and procedure flow.
