The mission of the Spokane District Dental Society shall be to encourage the improvement of the health of the public and to promote the art & science of dentistry.

SDDS offers comprehensive support to its members at national, state, and local levels.  We are dedicated to promoting excellence in dental care and furthering the dental profession. Our organization unites dental professionals of all specialties, such as dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants, to encourage collaboration, education, and advocacy.

Health and Wellness Business Symposium

Medical and Dental Business and Wellness Symposium, presented in collaboration with the Spokane District Dental Society, Gonzaga University and Spokane County Medical Society This half day continuing education symposium is designed for dentists, PA's and physicians looking to thrive in today’s evolving healthcare environment. Through a focused morning of education, attendees will explore how artificial intelligence can enhance productivity and patient care, learn practical strategies to prevent burnout and rediscover joy in practice, and gain leadership insights from educators working across multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The program concludes with a hosted lunch and social, offering time to connect with peers in a relaxed setting. SDDS/EWU Hygiene Scholarship Award Mixer

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26th SDDS/EWU Hygiene Mixer Time: 6:00-9:00 PM Place: Ruby River Hotel Join us for the 2026 EWU Hygiene/SDDS Mixer, a relaxed and enjoyable evening designed to connect SDDS members with soon-to-be graduates of the EWU Dental Hygiene program. It’s a great opportunity to build relationships, welcome new professionals into the dental community, and have some fun along the way. CODA Third-Party Comments Notice for EWU Hygiene Program

The United States Department of Education (USDE) procedures require accrediting agencies to provide an opportunity for third-party comment, either in writing or at a public hearing (at the accrediting agencies’ discretion) with respect to institutions or programs scheduled for review.  All comments must relate to accreditation standards for the discipline and required accreditation policies.
Those programs scheduled for regular review must solicit third-party comments through appropriate notification of communities of interest and the public such as faculty, students, program administrators, dental-related organizations, patients, and consumers at least ninety (90) days prior to their site visit.  EWU Dental Hygiene Site visit will occur on April 14-15, 2026. The deadline of sixty (60) days for receipt of third-party comments in the Commission office will be February 1, 2026.
Signed or unsigned comments will be accepted, and names and/or signatures will be removed from comments prior to forwarding them to the program. Comments must pertain only to the standards for the particular program or policies and procedures used in the Commission’s accreditation process.
