The mission of the Spokane District Dental Society shall be to encourage the improvement of the health of the public and to promote the art & science of dentistry.

SDDS offers comprehensive support to its members at national, state, and local levels.  We are dedicated to promoting excellence in dental care and furthering the dental profession. Our organization unites dental professionals of all specialties, such as dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants, to encourage collaboration, education, and advocacy.

Radiographic Pathology: Interpreting Images in 2 & 3 Dimensions

This case-based review of dental imaging will introduce the participants to common dental imaging findings seen on both 2D and 3D images; focus will be provided to help the participants identify, describe and make management and/or referral decisions when abnormalities or pathologic findings are identified.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize clinical and radiographic abnormalities.
  • Describe and document findings in the health record.
  • Engage other healthcare providers in the provision of care.

 About our Presenter:  Dr. David Klingman, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, PNWU-SDM, is a graduate of New Jersey Dental School. He has completed a hospital-based general practice residency, a year of oral medicine training, a 2-year comprehensive dentistry program, and 3-year residency in oral and maxillofacial pathology. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served as the senior consultant for Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, has held academic appointments at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, West Virginia University, and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, and has over 30 years’ experience in healthcare education.

 

 

 

CODA Third-Party Comments Notice for EWU Hygiene Program

The United States Department of Education (USDE) procedures require accrediting agencies to provide an opportunity for third-party comment, either in writing or at a public hearing (at the accrediting agencies’ discretion) with respect to institutions or programs scheduled for review.  All comments must relate to accreditation standards for the discipline and required accreditation policies.
Those programs scheduled for regular review must solicit third-party comments through appropriate notification of communities of interest and the public such as faculty, students, program administrators, dental-related organizations, patients, and consumers at least ninety (90) days prior to their site visit.  EWU Dental Hygiene Site visit will occur on April 14-15, 2026. The deadline of sixty (60) days for receipt of third-party comments in the Commission office will be February 1, 2026.
Signed or unsigned comments will be accepted, and names and/or signatures will be removed from comments prior to forwarding them to the program. Comments must pertain only to the standards for the particular program or policies and procedures used in the Commission’s accreditation process.
